ABOUT THE BAND

With a rootsy feel and sweat dripping off their instruments, Marble Canyon is a six-piece, roots blending alternative country and folk rock band known for their rich vocal harmonies, musical prowess and intimate stage presence. Often compared to having the same classic feel as bands like Blue Rodeo, Tom Petty and Jackson Browne, the band knows how to connect with crowds large and small.

After a year of playing together, the band released their debut EP “A Place to Rest”, in 2012.

What started as a three-piece band has now morphed into a six-piece, alt-country music machine: Singer, songwriter and guitarist Jason Greenway is at the helm with Pilar Peterson (vocals/percussion), Kris Branch (lead guitar and lap steel guitar), Rajan Das (bass), Mark Bannock (drums/vocals) and Radim Koppitz (violin) all working together to create a rootsy blend of alt-country and folk rock.

Based out of Whistler, British Columbia, the band feels at home playing both small, intimate crowds or larger, festival-style crowds. Look for their new full-length album in 2018.

"As distinct as the morning cry of a hawk circling the field and soothing as an afternoon dip in the creek - Marble Canyon's music captures the flow and feel of a life well-lived."
